Looks like the Nike LeBron 3 is making a comeback.

Nike began retroing LeBron James' signature sneakers earlier this year when they brought back the shoe that started it all, the Air Zoom Generation. Moving forward, it looks like Nike has plans to start retroing some of LeBron's other classic silhouettes, including the Nike LeBron 3.

According to sneaker source @Pinoe77, the black and gold colorway of the LeBron 3 will return in October of next year, though we expect more than just the one colorway to release if Nike is going to bring the sneaker back after 13 years. The Cavs' All-Star first teased a LeBron 3 retro about a year ago when he laced up several different colorways during warmups.

Now this doesn't necessarily mean that Nike is skipping over the LeBron 2, that sneaker could very well be retroed next year as well, but for the time being no plans have been announced.

The Nike LeBron 3 made it's debut back in November of 2005, featuring Zoom Air units at the forefoot and heel, as well as a “foot-bucket” insole which prevented the foot from slipping off the foot-bed. The kicks are currently selling on the resale market in the $400-$500 range, however some player exclusives, like the "Superman" joint, fetch as much as $1,500.
