A thoughtful move.

Netflix and Marvel have made an important decision in wake of the Las Vegas shooting that took place last week. The two companies have decided to pull "The Punisher" from the panel at this Saturday's New York Comic Con, more specifically the lead character, Frank Castle, who is a gun-raging man whose main weapon of choice is something American does not need to bring more attention to.

"We are stunned and saddened by this week's senseless act in Las Vegas. After careful consideration, Netflix and Marvel have decided it wouldn't be appropriate for Marvel's The Punisher to participate in New York Comic Con. Our thoughts continue to be with the victims and those affected by this tragedy," the statement read.

The series that will stream on Netflix is said to be one of Marvel's most violent shows that will follow Frank Castle, a veteran soldier, as he goes out on a vengeance to harm those who killed his loved ones, with a gun as his main weapon. The character may sound familiar as he was introduced in the second season of Daredevil.

We know that the press conference for the series has been cancelled, but no word on if the show's premiere will be changed. The Las Vegas shooting took place on Sunday night and claimed 58 lives. The shooter, 64-year-old Stephen Paddock, reportedly stood on the balcony of his hotel room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and fired shots into the crowd.

A number of artists and celebrities poured out lots of love and prayers over social media, some even holding back on video drops to make sure all attention was paid to the massacre. Most notable is rapper Big Sean who shared a video to his Instagram touching on how he has family in Las Vegas and how he was just there performing a few days prior. He asked his fans to not "give up on humanity" adding that we can rise above this.

“My heart goes to anyone who needs it. Prayers are for anyone who needs it. Don't give up. Keep your faith strong, keep your God strong. And like I said lets take responsibility for not just ourselves but for others too. You know what Im saying? Love,” he finished the video.
