Paul George is still a member of the Indiana Pacers, but he's reportedly already looking to recruit players to join him when he leaves Indy, including teaming up with 2x NBA champion Klay Thompson.
According to NBC Sports Bay Area analyst Kelenna Azubuike, Paul George has reached out to Klay Thompson about the possibility of playing together in Los Angeles when Thompson becomes a free agent after the 2018-19 season.
Assuming the Warriors can find a way to pay Klay along with the rest of their star-studded core, it seems highly unlikely that he'd leave Golden State to team up with George in 2019. Of course, it's no guarantee the Warriors front office will financially be able to keep all of their All-Stars together.
George has already informed the Pacers that he intends to leave once he becomes a free agent next Summer, if he's not traded before then. He's from Cali, played his college all at Fresno State, and has made it quite clear that his dream is to play for the Lakers.
