Over the last four seasons, the Golden State Warriors have made it to four straight NBA Finals and have won three titles. A big reason for that is the play of Klay Thompson who along with Steph Curry, have been raining three-pointers all throughout their respective careers. The team is in the midst of a big playoff push right now, although there are already some disconcerting rumors surrounding the squad when it comes to Thompson and his willingness to re-sign.
Thompson will be a free agent this summer and is eligible for a max deal. While the Warriors probably wouldn't mind giving it to him, Stephen A Smith said on First Take that Thompson is no longer happy in Oakland.
"I'm told Klay Thompson—I have not spoken to Klay Thompson, in fairness to Klay Thompson, so let me be clear about that. I'm told Klay Thompson isn't happy," Smith said. "His number hasn't been called nearly enough. He's tired of sitting around and getting quote-unquote, this is a quote, 'the crumbs' left behind by other people."
The Warriors sharpshooter is now denying those reports, saying he's never once said he feels that way.
"That's not true," Thompson told the Mercury News. "Have I ever indicated I was unhappy?"
Thompson and the Warriors will try to eliminate the Houston Rockets in Game 6 of their second-round matchup on Friday.
