The MLB Playoffs get underway tonight, featuring a win or go home American League Wild-Card game between the Minnesota Twins and New York Yankees.
The Twins finished the season with an 85-77 record, and are the first team in baseball history to reach the postseason one season after losing 100 games. The Yankees, on the other hand, went 91-71 to secure the top Wild-Card spot and home field advantage for tonight's matchup.
The Yanks will be throwing right-handed pitcher, Luis Severino (14-8, 2.98 ERA) against Minnesota's right hander Ervin Santana (16-8, 3.28 ERA). New York won four of their six games against Minnesota this season.
It will all go down at Yankee Stadium in the Bronx tonight, first pitch is scheduled for 8:09 pm ET. The game will air on ESPN as well as the WatchESPN app.

The winner of tonight's game will travel to Cleveland for a seven-game series against the defending American League champs. The Indians had the best record in the American League this season, going 102-60.
The first game of the American League Division Series will take place on Thursday, October 5th. In the other American League Division Series, the Boston Red Sox (93-69) will take on the Houston Astros (101-61).
As for the National League, the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks will face off in the National League Wild-Card game tomorrow night in Arizona. That game is scheduled to get underway at 8:08pm ET, and will air on TBS.
The winner of the National League Wild-Card game will take on the team that had the best record in baseball this year, the Los Angeles Dodgers, who finished the season with a 104-58 record.
The other National League Division Series pits the reigning World Series champion Chicago Cubs against the Washington Nationals. Both NLDS series will kick off on Friday, October 6th.
