It's been a highly prolific year for Chief Keef. The Chicago rapper came through with three separate tapes and is about to drop off his forth next month. Earlier today, he revealed the project's tracklist which included features from A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie as well as Lil Yachty, among others. Both Keef and Yachty have been spotted in the studio a few times as well as teased what they've been working on. Now, they've finally revealed what they've had up their sleeves.
Chief Keef drops off the second single off of Dedication with "Come On Now" featuring ATL's Lil Yachty. The two of them connect on a smooth but heavy hitting drill anthem. The production finds a solid middle ground between Yachty and Chief Keef. While Yachty's been known for his "bubblegum trap" style, Keef's a leader in the vicious drill sound that hails out of Chicago. The beat seems a bit watered down from the typical drill sonic which finds Yachty in a solid place. However, it's still hard hitting enough for Keef to bring his signature vibe to the table. While they've previously teased their work together, the single lives up to the hype they've built leading up to its release.
This isn't the first time Yachty and Chief Keef worked together either. Back in 2016, Keef actually produced K$upreme's "Young Nigga Theme Song" which featured Yachty. However, this is the first time both Chief Keef and Lil Yachty are heard on the same track together. As a second single off the project so far, it definitely feels like Dedication's going to be a solid project under Chief Keef's belt. The rapper previously released "Mailbox" as the project's lead single.
Quotable Lyrics
All my dawgs fighting like I'm Michael Vick
Got a condo in Atlanta where I fuck my bitch
Fuck my bitch, where I fuck your bitch
Thirty six diamonds shine like MJ pants
