It’s safe to say Chief Keef has had a bit of a resurgence in the music scene this year. To kickstart 2017 on January 1st, the Chicago-turned-LA rapper released a new mixtape called Two Zero One Seven, before returning back in June with another tape called Thot Breaker. And if that wasn’t enough, Sosa decided to release a third project of the year just only a couple weeks ago called The W, but it appears he’s got a couple more on the way. Before linking up with Fredo Santana for their joint project Turbo Bandana, which is expected to arrive in a couple weeks, Sosa decided to come through on Monday and announce on Twitter that he had something else on the way called Dedication, which appears to be another solo project.
“The Drops Are R3AL” he tweeted out along with the project’s word search-inspired artwork. Not much else was revealed at this time, but if you look closely at the artwork you might notice some other related words in the crossword puzzle like… savage, Keke Palmer, and going home. Could it be that this is the possible tracklist jumbled in the cross word and artwork? Some fans believe so (see below), and it would make sense that this is a project. Plus, Sosa isn't one to promote a single by sharing artwork like this, so all signs point to it being a new project.
This announcement comes just a couple weeks after Sosa was spotted working in the studio with Lil Uzi Vert. Who knows if the collab that they’re working on will see life on this Dedication project or not, but guess time will only tell. For those keeping count, Dedication will serve as Sosa’s 5th project of 2017, which is partially due to the fact that he's now independent.
Check out Sosa’s announcement & artwork (below). Who’s excited for another Chief Keef project?
While we wait for further details on Dedication to surface, revisit his newly-released The W mixtape right here to hold you over in the meantime. Features on it include Fredo Santana, Lil Bibby, & more. His Turbo Bandana mixtape with Fredo Santana is reportedly dropping October 13 too, so stay tuned for that as well.
