Despite the fact Wiz Khalifa spent the majority of the year focusing on Rolling Papers 2, he still manages to put out other projects while we wait. He's already dropped two EP's this year, both of which were delivered within a month's span of each other, and now he's back with his third release of the year with Laugh Now, Fly Later.
Wiz Khalifa's been teasing Laugh Now, Fly Later for a little less than a month at this point. However, this is a project that he initially said wouldn't be coming out. After confirming that Rolling Papers 2 was complete, he said he'd strictly be dropping the album without anything to lead up to it. He later changed his mind and announced he'd deliver Laugh Now, Fly Later. His latest project runs ten tracks deep and includes the newly released single, "Letterman." For the majority of the project, he holds it down on his own with the exception of the opening track, "Royal Highness," which features Casey Veggies. It's a project filled with anthems to smoke and party to, a strength that Wiz Khalifa continues to carry with each one of his projects.
Now that Laugh Now, Fly Later is out for public consumption, Wiz lessened the load on his plate and is back to focusing on Rolling Papers 2 roll out. The album's been in the works for a minute now so it's exciting to hear what he got on there. He previously revealed that he and Pharrell locked in some studio time recently. He also worked with PartyNextDoor earlier in the summer on "Rain." While it's unlikely that we'll end up receiving that on the project, maybe they have other collabs sitting in the stash.
