Wiz Khalifa's career has spanned over 10 years at this point, believe it or not. Despite being in the game since a teenager, he continues to grow and push his own creative limits with every project. Over the past several years, he's been venturing into other creative avenues while still delivering a consistent stream of music. While the last studio album we received from him was 2014's Blacc Hollywood but he's dropped compilation records, EP's and mixtapes since then. Nonetheless, a question many of his fans have been asking when Rolling Papers 2 would be dropping. It seems like it'll be coming in the near future.
Wiz Khalifa hit Instagram up to announce that his album, Rolling Papers 2, is completed. In normal Wiz fashion, he posted a picture of himself lighting a joint with the caption, "Albums done. Bout to drop some new music very soon." So it's safe to say that Wiz will be in roll-out mode very soon. The rapper's been teasing the project for a minute now. Last week, someone asked him if he'd be dropping a mixtape before the album, to which he replied no.
Earlier this week, he shared a new episode of his vlog series, "DayToDay," where he previewed new solo music and teased a new collaboration with Pharrell. The two also chopped it up in the studio and Pharrell sung very high praises to Wiz for his musical consistency. The two have worked together on past efforts, most notably on O.N.I.F.C's "Rise Above" which also featured Amber Rose and Tuki Carter.
This year, Wiz Khalifa already dropped two four-track EPs within a few weeks of each other. At the top of June, he released Pre-Rolleds and later dropped Bong Rips towards the end of the month. It's safe to say that Wiz has been locking himself in the studio throughout 2017 so it'll be interesting to hear what the final outcome of Rolling Papers 2 will sound like.
