Drake, one of hip-hop's most dependently bankable stars, hasn't announced a slate of tour dates for a minute. In fact, the only time fans have been able to see the Canadian rapper on the road has been surprise guest appearances at other shows, most recently showing up unannounced at a 2 Chainz concert in Toronto. He jumped on stage with the still-recovering Southern emcee - who remains relegated to a wheelchair after injuring himself earlier in the summer - and performed a rendition of their fire collaboration "No Lie." The good news? Drake fans who want to see more solo shows from the More Life star are in luck. A announcement that dropped on social media yesterday revealed details of a short selection of tour dates that Drizzy will be undertaking this fall.
Using Twitter to share the information, Drake disclosed that he'll be hitting the road again in November, taking his Boy Meets World Tour to Australia and New Zealand. The six-date tour will begin on November 3rd in Auckland, New Zealand at the Spark Arena and will travel to Sydney and Brisbane as well before ending on November 20th in Melbourne, Australia. Fans can cop tickets for any of those shows as of Friday, September 15th.
Drake was also one of the many celebrities who stepped up and made a sizable financial contribution to the Hurricane Harvey relief effort, donating $200,000 towards the cause. In a video on his Instagram page, the Champagne Papi addresses the tragedy and said: "To the resilient people of Houston and the entire state of Texas I would like to send you all of our love, all of our prayers. To the brave men and women that have assisted in aid, relief, rescue, your actions are truly heroic." He directed his followers to visit the page set up by his close friend JJ Watt, which you can find here. The total donation amount for Watt's page has already surpassed the ten million dollar goal and continues to grow.
