Chance The Rapper is putting his stamp of approval on Jordan Peele's Get Out, a horror movie about psycho white suburbanites. The Grammy Award-winning artist liked the movie so much that he bought out entire screenings at his local theatre to offer free screenings, Sunday.
“DID I NOT TELL YALL #GETOUT WAS INCREDIBLE!! BEST FILM ACROSS ANY GENRE IN AWHILE GO SEE IT TODAY,” he tweeted to his followers.
Six hours later, the emcee announced that he had bought every single tickets to two showings that night at Chatham Theatre in Chicago. "Just pull up ID," he said, "and enjoy the showing."
Earlier this month, The Fader reported that Chance organized a private showing of Get Out in Los Angeles. The film, which opened on Oscar weekend, currently sits on top of the box office.
Get Out stars British actor Daniel Kaluuya and Girls star Allison Williams as an interracial couple that travels to a suburban town to see Williams' white parents. Kaluuya discovers that the community has a history of young black men vanishing. Check out the horrific trailer below.
