The screenings will celebrate the film's one year anniversary.

Get Out's resounding success began a year ago when the film was first released to theatres nationwide on February 24, 2017. Since then, Jordan Peele's directorial debut has been showered with acclaim from critics, and has been nominated for countless awards.

Universal, the studio behind the film, will be celebrating this cultural milestone by re-releasing the film for free at select AMC theatres throughout America on President's Day. Peele took to Twitter to make the announcement, simply captioning his tweet with "Thank you."

The screenings will take place at 7 PM this upcoming Monday, and will "be available on a first-come, first-served basis and may only be picked up at the AMC box office that day," according to a spokesperson for the theatre chain.

The film has been nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director and Screenplay for Peele, as well as Best Actor for star Daniel Kaluuya. These opportune screenings will likely bolster awareness for Get Out in advance of this year's Oscars, reminding voters and the public alike of this groundbreaking cinematic outing.
