Gunna said he's just trying to tell his story.

Gunna recently released "Bread & Butter," and many fans speculated that he dissed Lil Baby on the new track. The rapper has responded to the accusations, however, claiming that they're untrue. He replied to a comment left by DJ Akademiks, saying that he's only trying to tell his story. "I just wanna know why Gunna talking bout Lil Baby like this," the DJ wrote in response to the song. The rapper responded, writing, "That's Capp," and claiming, "I'm Just lettin the world hear my story." In the song, Gunna he also addresses allegations that he "snitched" on YSL founder Young Thug.

Some listeners speculated that Gunna spoke on allegations against Quality Control Music co-founder Pierre “P” Thomas in the song. In May, P dealt with accusations that he "snitched" on someone in relation to the death of his friend. The CEO denied the claims. On Gunna's song, he raps, "you in business with a rat," and some fans tied the lyric to Lil Baby and his label boss. Lil Baby unfollowed Gunna on social media in January.

Gunna Calls Accusations "Capp"

Many of his peers have seemingly cut ties with Gunna following his plea deal. Lil Durk shared his thoughts on the situation with DJ Akademiks on the Off the Record podcast last month. “Now I don’t sit up here and play games, man,” he began. He went on to say, “That man told. You should have went in there and kept your mouth closed." Durk added, "If you a rat, you a rat. If you rewind this clip a little bit, I looked into the camera and told you, if you a rat, I f*cking hate you. Because I love Thug." In May, Wheezy also allegedly called Gunna a "rat," according to leaked DMs.

Boosie Badazz spoke on what's to come in Gunna's career earlier this week on The Big Homies House podcast. When asked if he thinks artists can go on to have successful careers after being labeled "snitches," he said, “Gunna might be done unless he go to another country." He went on to tell the host, “I don’t want no rat to excel. I hope he never sell a record again.”
