Fat Joe doesn't like Akademiks' line of questioning.

Fat Joe is a legendary artist who has lived through a lot of hip-hop feuds. Overall, he has seen how these feuds have gotten started and how they have ended. In many cases, these beefs have not ended well. Subsequently, as an elder statesman in the game, Joe is quick to warn artists about the perils of engaging in such matters. Instead, he would rather artists put up a united front. At the end of the day, it is very easy to see why Joe has the opinions that he does.

Consequently, you can imagine that he had a lot to say about the new feud between Lil Durk and Gunna. Although this is a one-sided feud, there is no doubt that it is getting some traction online. Overall, it started through DJ Akademiks' Off The Record podcast. Ak asked Durk about snitches and what he thinks of Gunna. This led to some strong words from Lil Durk. In a recent Instagram Live session, reposted by All Urban Central, Fat Joe explained why he hates this new beef.

Fat Joe Makes His Case

in fact, he mostly had criticism for Akademiks here. Mostly, he doesn't agree with how the media personality framed the question which subsequently led to a hostile answer. “He made him answer what he thought about Gunna,” Joe explained. “That’s the oldest trick in the book in Hip Hop journalism. Now, Durk jumps out and says, ‘No, I’m not.’ Now these two people don’t like each other for the rest of their life. But this is the type of entrapment, East-Coast West Coast beef, VIBE magazine, The Source magazine shit they been doing. Here, we stay in the light. We want to hear positive things about everybody.”

While the media can certainly be antagonistic at times, Lil Durk still chose to answer the question. That said, it is a fair criticism from Fat Joe. He understands how all of this works, and he calls it like he sees it. Let us know what you think of the legend's remarks, in the comments section below.
