Future shared a picture of a "Free Slime" t-shirt in support of his longtime collaborator, Young Thug, on Instagram, earlier this week. The picture features another man rocking the shirt which has a portrait of the Atlanta rapper and "Free Slime" written in lime green. The post didn't feature a caption.
Thug has been in prison since May 2022, when he and 29 other people associated with YSL were arrested on gang-related charges. Authorities charged Thug with seven additional felonies related to the possession of illegal substances and illegal firearms after a search of his home.
Future With Young Thug
Thug's attorney, Keith Adams, recently argued that his client is dealing with brutal living conditions in jail. “I know he’s had some difficulty of a similar sort at the Cobb County Jail a few months ago, and so I’m obviously concerned about his wellbeing,” Adams told Judge Ural Glanville. “Mr. Williams is sleep deprived, mandated to wake up on court days between 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. and not having more than five hours of sleep per night. By the end of the week, Mr. Williams is fighting to pay attention to the goings on in his case.”
Future isn't the only rapper to voice their support for Young Thug and his associates in recent months. Lil Durk reflected on their viral computer meme during an appearance on the Off the Record podcast. Additionally, Metro Boomin revealed that he had spoken with Thug back in March. Yeat also recently tapped Thug for a new single, "My Wrist.”
