One of the more unique sneakers to ever be released by Nike is the Nike Air Foamposite One. Overall, this is a shoe that was made famous by Penny Hardaway. Moreover, it is a model that is known for its unorthodox looks. It is certainly not for everybody, and for the most part, it is an East Coast sneaker. That said, it definitely has its fair share of iconic colorways. Although the shoe isn't on trend, whenever new retros come out, fans flock to stores. Nike knows this, and that is why they keep making models.
Throughout 2024, it would appear as though some amazing Nike Air Foamposite One models will be returning. For instance, it has been revealed that the "Galaxy" colorway will return. Overall, this is a model that debuted at the NBA All-Star Game back in 2012. Fans absolutely adored it, and it ultimately changed sneaker culture forever. Now, another Foamposite retro will be dropping next year. This time, it will be in the form of a model that also dropped in 2017. As you can see, we are talking about the "Eggplant" colorway.
"Eggplant" Nike Air Foamposite One
Based on the name, you can probably guess what kind of aesthetics to expect here. All throughout the upper we get this gorgeous purple glow that is meant to replicate a literal eggplant. From there, the top portion of the sneaker is black, which is something you would come to expect from a Foamposite. Lastly, the shoe has an icy blue outsole which brings it all together.
