Danielle Bregoli a.k.a Bhad Bhabie has used her notoriety to land herself a record deal with Atlantic Records. A few weeks back, she debuted her rap career with the single "These Heaux." The song went viral upon it's release and even landed her a number 2 spot on Spotify's Global Viral 50 charts as well as a position on the Billboard 100. While the song wasn't received with favorable reactions from most people, it stirred up conversation around her name. The chatter alone was enough for her to continue to drop music. Now, she returns with her first video after penning a deal with Atlantic Records. Serving as a double whammy, she drops "Hi Bich/Whachu Kno."
Bregoli clearly thrives off of controversy and she addresses it with the first song in the video "Hi Bich." That half of the video comes across as a self-aware take on the backlash her rap career has received thusfar. Specifically off of the success of "These Heaux". It also pokes at her most recent court case, where she received five years probation for two counts of grand theft, possession of marijuana and filing a false police report. The video comes across as a way of her trying to shed the whole "Cash Me Ousside" persona while honing her identity as a rapper. The video ends up switching to "Whachu Know" where she's seen rapping in an empty parking lot. The second half isn't nearly as dramatic as the first half.
Bhad Bhabie's rap career seems to be popping off faster than we've expected. While she's clearly enjoying the lifestyle, her father has recently came out saying that he isn't pleased with her new rap career. Mainly because of her association to other rappers like Kodak Black and Youngboy Never Broke Again. Either way, it doesn't seem like her father's opinion is taking any toll on her decisions to pursue a career in music.
