Among some of the more underrated Jumpman models ever created, we have the Air Jordan 8. Overall, this is a fantastic shoe that was perhaps too chunky for its own good. Back in 1993, Jordan Brand was experimenting with the combat boot look. Ultimately, it was something we saw with Charles Barkley's sneakers. However, beyond those few years, they didn't exactly take off. In the eyes of many, the Jordan 8 simply isn't a shoe they would wear on a normal basis. Although, there are certainly some iconic colorways of it.
2023 is proving to be a special year for the Air Jordan 8. This is because the shoe is officially celebrating its 30th birthday. As we have seen time and time again, when a shoe turns 30 years old, it subsequently gets a whole lot of releases. From retros to new colorways, the Jordan 8 is going to get a lot of play this year. In fact, we constantly see new teasers online. Additionally, there is also new information being dropped every few months. For instance, the Instagram sneaker insider @zsneakerheadz always seems to have the inside track.
"Playoffs" Air Jordan 8
Before we bring you the latest update on the Air Jordan 8 "Playoffs," let's discuss this colorway, shall we? Firstly, the shoe is mostly covered in some black nubuck. The overlays are just a tad darker than the actual base of the shoe. Secondly, there is a white patch near the back heel which has some red and black within it. Lastly, the outsole to the shoe is red, white, yellow, and blue. These elements come together to fit an aesthetic that was prevalent in the 90s.
