Among the many plea deals handed out to YSL codefendants during their ongoing RICO trial, Unfoonk's was one of the most controversial. Moreover, Young Thug's older brother faced a lot of backlash for his choice, despite him denying that he snitched. However, recent reports circulating online indicate that his journey in this case is unfortunately not over yet. Furthermore, authorities reportedly arrested Unfoonk for violating the terms of his plea agreement. Specifically, it seems like officials caught him possessing a gun and reentered him into the court.
Not only that, but this comes soon after speculations ran rampant concerning Young Thug's relationships to those who took plea. For example, inarguably the biggest story surrounding these deals such as Unfoonk's was that of Gunna, a close friend and collaborator of Young Thug's in the rap mainstream. After Thugger apparently linked Gunna's album in his Instagram bio and then deleted it, many thought the two were on good terms. Still, not much context emerged following that story, so whether it was a convoluted statement or mistake remains to be seen. Regardless, other developments in the case are sadly just as inflammatory and damaging.
Unfoonk, Young Thug's Older Brother, Allegedly Arrested For Violating Plea Terms
On that note, the most recent story to break from the YSL trial revolves around growing concerns for Young Thug's health. His attorney Brian Steel claimed that the rapper is not getting his proper nutrition in jail, relying on chocolate and chips to get by. Also, he believes that the Atlanta trap pioneer is not getting proper access to sunlight, exercise, and other important aspects of physical and mental health. As such, his fourth request for bond comes not out of sympathy, but out of necessity.
Meanwhile, a huge scuffle broke out late last month as a hearing took place, interrupting all proceedings that day. Afterwards, footage made the social media rounds of a YSL codefendant being stripped down to his underwear, where officials found weed sewn in. While the case doesn't seem to be getting any easier for the cohort, hopefully gears can shift towards prioritizing their health and safety and not their harsh imprisonment. For the latest on Unfoonk, Young Thug, and the YSL RICO case, come back to HNHH.
