If you're not willing to shell out the $100 pay-per-view price for Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor, and you don't want to be jammed into a tightly packed bar that's showing the fight either, there's still one more option.
According to ESPN's Dan Rafael, Fathom Events and Mayweather Promotions have partnered up to bring the August 26th megafight, as well as the full undercard, to select movie theater across the country.
Mayweather said, Per ESPN,
"The buzz that my fight against Conor McGregor is getting has been great already, so what better way to watch this larger than life event than on the big screen? We brought boxing back to movie theaters eight years ago and it was a huge success," Mayweather said. "But this event is on a different level and I'm so glad we are giving fans another way to see all the action. Grab your popcorn because this is a fight no one will want to miss."
Fathom Events and Mayweather Promotions have done this in the past for some of Mayweather's fights, but this will surely be the most enticing deal yet.
The ticket prices will be set by each theater owner, so the prices will vary, but Fathom Events told ESPN that they expect them to go for roughly $40 a pop.
