Cardi B did not come to play around on fashion's biggest night this year, sporting three different looks and making it look easy.

While a lot of celebrities can say that they slayed at the 2023 Met Gala, few can say they slayed multiple times. However, Cardi B came to the biggest night in celebrity fashion with a strict mission: kill the competition three times over. Moreover, she first donned an extravagant and sparkly pink dress with peacock-like plumage behind her. Then, she changed into tight black ensemble with a white shirt and black tie, with her massive black rose-adorned crinoline being the main attraction. To wrap up the night, she simplified that fit by keeping her silver hair, but changing into a black-and-pink patterned dress.

Of course, Cardi B is no stranger to showcasing her astonishing style at the Met Gala. In fact, many fans on social media took the chance to reflect on her past outfit choices at the event. What's more is that, this time around, she paid fitting and well-executed tributes to the gala's theme. Furthermore, fans traced back her first two fits to some of Karl Lagerfeld's iconic looks. Even for those unfamiliar with their inspiration, they still expressed admiration for her style.

Meanwhile, the Bronx native recently had a dismissive and funny comment towards her haters. While it's unclear what specifically prompted the pop-off, she displayed experience in dealing with the negativity. "That mean girl persona y’all put on for the internet don’t fool me," Cardi B tweeted. "I can tell y’all were NERDS in high school." Furthermore, she recently faced flack for her ongoing feud with blogger Tasha K, although she won her lawsuit against her. Still, any public drama like that is bound to draw critical comments online.

However, she also took steps to give a little more details on her personal life. For example, she spoke on the importance of accountability when addressing her community service work after an assault case. Also, she showed fans a typical day in her life via TikTok and narrated through her usual routine. Whether it's on the red carpet, onstage, on wax, or online, she stands proudly and with a smile, even to the haters. Beyond engaging and breaking news coverage, Gabriel makes the most out of his concert obsessions, reviewing and recapping festivals like Rolling Loud Miami and Camp Flog Gnaw. He’s also developed a strong editorial voice through album reviews, think-pieces, and interviews with some of the genre’s brightest upstarts and most enduring obscured gems like Homeboy Sandman, Bktherula, Bas, and Devin Malik.
