Biggie and Pac fans rejoice!
The late, great rappers Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G are officially coming to the small-screen in the upcoming USA network drama Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G.
According to Billboard, the series was ordered to pilot this past November and will chronicle the dual investigations by police into the murders of the two megastars of rap, both of which happened between 1996 and 1997. The bulk of the story will be based on the experiences of ex-L.A.P.D. Detective Greg Kading, who also served as a consultant the script for the pilot episode. He will also serve as the show's co-executive producer.
Kading led multiple task forces that investigated the Shakur and B.I.G. murders. He is also the author of the book Murder Rap: The Untold Story of Biggie Smalls & Tupac Shakur Murder Investigations. Newcomers Wavyy Jones and Marcc Rose, the latter of Fargo fame, will star as Biggie and Tupac respectively.
