Charles Barkley is easily one of the best players of the late 80s and early 90s. However, he doesn't get the same shine as a lot of superstars thanks to his lack of NBA titles. Overall, he only got to play in one NBA Finals, and he lost. Of course, this took place in 1993 against Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. Luckily, Chuck did get to win an Olympic Gold back in 1992 while playing for the infamous "Dream Team." Moreover, he has plenty of other accolades that he can soothe himself with.
That said, soon after his NBA Finals defeat, Charles Barkley got an awesome new signature shoe. This model was called the Nike Air Max CB 94. Although it didn't become as popular as an Air Jordan, it still had plenty of allure. Soon, it will be turning 40 years old. Consequently, Nike is paying homage to the silhouette by coming out with some fantastic colorways. These are all OG versions of the Air Max CB 94, that 90s sneakerheads will remember fondly. Next on the list is this "triple-black" colorway below.
Charles Barkley Would Be Proud
It is not hard picturing Charles Barkley wearing these during his prime years in the NBA. Overall, this is just a nice shoe that has a lot of oomph to it. Firstly, we get black all throughout the shoe in a plethora of different materials. Secondly, the part that truly stands out would have to be the straps all across the mid-foot. These make the sneaker really pop and it almost feels like the shoe is some sort of military boot.
As for the release date, that has yet to be revealed. However, we do know that these are going to cost $170 USD. If you love 90s sneakers and you are a Charles Barkley fan, then these are going to be a must-cop. Let us know your thoughts on this sneaker, in the comments section below.
