LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers took down the Memphis Grizzlies on Sunday night. The 128-112 victory proved the Lakers can compete with one of the top teams in the West. But James didn't do it all alone. The Lakers had help from budding stars Austin Reaves and Rui Hachimura. The duo for over 50 points, assisting the team in a massive way. After the game, James was asked about the performance by Reaves. For James, he knew it was something the guard was always capable of.
"I knew from the first practice that we had when we grabbed him that he wasn't gonna be a two-way player for long... I'm extremely happy for him. I want him to do it again." James claims he knew of Reaves' talents the first time the two shared the floor together. James' basketball IQ has long been shown to be of the elite. However, knowing that Reaves would be an incredible talent from day one is an incredible statement by James. Reaves has been a very bright spot for the franchise during their playoff push.
