Ahead of his headlining performance at Rolling Loud Thailand later tonight (April 14), Chris Brown confirmed earlier this week that he's got new music on the way. The last time we heard from the Virginia-born crooner was on his collaboration with Chlรถe, "How Does It Feel," which notably received mixed reviews from audiences. For his next release, Breezy will seemingly be reuniting with Ciara, and according to his Instagram Story earlier this week, the recording artists have something seriously special in store.
"ME AND @ciara got some ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ coming ๐," the father of three wrote over a black screen on Thursday (April 13) morning. Brown and Ciara previously made magic together in 2009, with their "Turntables" joint effort that arrived on the fashionista's Fantasy Ride album. More recently, they also attempted to bring their talents together for the R&B icon's Michael Jackson tribute at the 2022 American Music Awards. Unfortunately for both, the presentation was cancelled at the last minute, with producers seemingly taking issues with Brown's unflattering past, especially in conjunction with the allegations his honoree faced during his own life.
Breezy Brags About New Song
Of course, the "Kiss Kiss" hitmaker didn't explicitly state that he and Ciara are working on music. Both artists happen to also be skilled dancers, and fans would surely be just as happy with a project focusing on other talents outside of their vocal range. As HipHopDX notes, collaborating with Brown is a guaranteed way for others to ensure backlash for themselves, though the mother of three has made it clear that she's willing to stick by her friend, no matter what haters and critics have to say.
Following 2022's Breezy album, the 33-year-old has steadily shown out on singles like "It's Giving Christmas," "Nasty" with Tyga," and "Do You Mind" alongside Vedo. As for Ciara, her last full-length project, Beauty Marks, arrived back in 2019. She's since made a comeback thanks to singles like "JUMP" featuring Coast Contra, "Better Thangs" with Summer Walker, and most recently, "Da Girls."
