Nearly two weeks ago, Chlöe surprised fans by announcing her collaboration with Chris Brown. It seemed like a perfect fit for the two hitmakers, and many were excited about their then-upcoming single, "How Does It Feel." The singers posed together in the track's teaser, but Chlöe and Chris were inundated with mentions after the image circulated. People brought up Brown's violent past in relationships, specifically the Rihanna scandal and Karrueche's Tran's restraining order. The conversations last for days, prompting Brown to come forward with a scathing response.
However, missing from the conversation was Chlöe. Amid the chaos, she and Brown emerged with encouraging words for one another, but she didn't directly address the drama. However, while on the red carpet for Creed III, Chlöe was questioned about her thoughts on the pushback. According to her, she hopes fans will steer focus.
Chlöe Is All About The Music
"It feels great," she said about making the premiere. "I literally ran straight from the shoot. I was like, praying to God I didn't miss the carpet and God is good. Here I am." Chlöe added she was proud of Michael B. Jordan's directorial debut. "I just love to see us win." It was a sentiment that several attendees held about the award-winning actor's latest effort. Then, the singer was questioned about Brown.
"I just want the music and art to speak for itself," said Chlöe. "I'm excited for In Pieces, dropping March 31, and I have very exciting news dropping tomorrow. So, I can't wait to let my fans know." As she was wrapping up the red carpet interview, Jordan made a surprise appearance and took a moment to celebrate with his friend. The two even posed for silly pictures with Creed III star Jonathan Majors photobombing in the background.
Chlöe Praises Venus & Serena Williams
The singer also fangirled about being close to Serena Williams on the red carpet. "While I was waiting for the carpet, I was right next to Serena," Chlöe shared. "And, you know, her and Venus have always inspired me and my sister. It was like another good boost of excitement and encouragement to keep going." Check it all out above.
