Renner appeared in good spirits and good health on the late night show.

A little over three months after his near-fatal accident, Jeremy Renner continues what many see as a miraculous recovery. As part of this recovery, Renner has begun to do media appearances to talk about his accident. Last week, he was interviewed by ABC News's Diane Sawyer, in which he opened up about some intimate details of the accident. More interviews can likely be expected in the coming weeks and months.

The media tour has continued, with Renner also appearing at the premiere of Rennervations. Renner's new DIY show on Disney+ will see Renner and a team of constructions turning abandoned buildings into places that serve their community. Rennervations debuts on April 12. However, no media tour is complete without a trip to see the King of Late Night Comedy, Jimmy Kimmel.

Renner Says He's "Lucky To Be Alive"

Renner is no stranger to Jimmy Kimmel Live! but this appearance was much different in tone from previous visits. Renner appeared on the show without help, aside from the use of a walking cane. This is a miraculous recovery, considering Renner broke over 30 bones when he was run over in January. He also appeared at the Rennervations premiere only using a cane. The actor is clearly eager to move past his accident, and his recovery progress is a testament to this.

Despite the horrific accident, Renner appeared in good spirits, even joking about how the good luck that befell. He referred to the snowplow as a "giant metal-like cookie roller" and explained how the vehicle managed to miss most vital organs while it ran him over. He also spoke more about his nephew Alex, who was with him at the time of the accident. In a tear-inducing moment, Renner revealed that despite his extensive injuries, his primary concern was for Alex's well-being. Renner concluded by thanking his family and vowing to return to the hospital to apologize to the medical staff for his erratic behavior upon arrival. While most people would expect a pass given that they had just been run over by a 14,000 lb snowplow, the gesture speaks to Renner's character and spirit.
