The WWE and the UFC are officially merging together.

Vince McMahon and the WWE had themselves an incredible weekend. Overall, WrestleMania proved to be a massive success. There were some great matches and the entertainment was off the charts throughout the entire weekend. Moreover, with Roman Reigns retaining his world title, a lot of fans got what they wanted. While it has been a turbulent year for the company, they are still making some massive moves.

A few months ago, it was rumored that the WWE would be sold to a group of investors from Saudi Arabia. However, that is no longer the case. Instead, it is being reported by TMZ that the WWE and the UFC are going to merge and form one massive sports entertainment company. This deal will feature the UFC owning 51 percent of the company, while the WWE will have the other 49 percent. It is a massive new venture that has unlimited potential. As you can imagine, McMahon is very excited.

"Together, we will be a $21+ billion live sports and entertainment powerhouse with a collective fanbase of more than a billion people and an exciting growth opportunity," McMahon said. "The new company will be well positioned to maximize the value of our combined media rights, enhance sponsorship monetization, develop new forms of content and pursue other strategic mergers and acquisitions to further bolster our strong stable of brands." For now, it remains to be seen how this partnership will work. The UFC and WWE are very different, although there are some crossover stars.

One has to imagine that we will find out the ramifications of all this, very soon. No matter what, this could go a long way in solidifying the WWE as the biggest wrestling promotion in the world. As for Dana White and the UFC, they continue to dominate the combat sports space. Let us know what you think of this deal, in the comments below.
