Lifetime and A+E Networks will be releasing projects celebrating the careers of Keyshia Cole, Janet Jackson, and more.

Lifetime and A+E Networks have given the green light for a number of new documentaries. The new projects consist of a Janet Jackson documentary, as well as a Keyshia Cole biopic, titled Keyshia Cole: This Is My Story. Another doc called TLC Forever has also been greenlit and will tell the story of the legendary R&B girl group.

Keyshia Cole's biopic will feature the star portraying herself as she makes her acting debut. The production will also showcase her career journey and relationship with her late mother, Frankie Lons. Keyshia Cole: This Is My Story is executive produced by Cole and directed by D’Angela Proctor and Manu Boyer. Actress Debbi Morgan will be playing the role of Keyshia's mother. Airing as part of Lifetime’s Black Music Month celebration, the biopic will be coming to screens on June 24th at 8:00 PM, ET.

Last year, Janet Jackson released her self-titled documentary, giving insight into her personal life and career journey. Janet Jackson: Family First will be a continuation of the first film, following her on her Together Again tour. In a statement released by Billboard, Janet said: “I was touched by the love and support from the wonderful fans who enjoyed the documentary last year." She added: “I am excited to continue to share my story and welcome fans into my life and the Together Again tour. Thank you for your never-ending support, and I hope you enjoy the next chapter.” The doc will also follow her family band reuniting to perform together for the first time in 40 years.

Her brother, Randy Jackson, who is also an executive producer, stated: "In this next chapter in the documentary, Janet and I are thrilled to welcome viewers on the road with us as we embark on the Together Again tour, celebrating the milestone of 50 years of Janet’s career with fans across the country." The release date for the documentary has not been shared yet as it's still being filmed.

The lives of T Boz, Chilli and the late Left Eye will also be followed in TLC Forever. The two-hour doc is directed by Matthew Kay and executive-produced by Roger Ross Williams. Fans will get to see the best and most challenging moments that the trio had. The group's highly anticipated project will air on June 3rd at 8:00 PM. Which of the upcoming Lifetime stories are you most excited for?
