Lonzo Ball stepped onto the court for last night's Summer League game against the Sixers wearing the "Purple Dust" Nike Kobe A.D., a sneaker which dropped earlier this month and certainly isn't a BBB shoe.
Having ditched his Big Baller Brand signature sneaker, Lonzo proceeded to drop 36 points, adding 11 assists, 8 rebounds, 5 steals and 2 blocks in the Lakers' 103-102 win.
Of course, reporters had to ask him why he wasn't wearing the $495 ZO2 Prime.
Per ESPN,
"Um, you know, Mamba mentality," Ball said when asked why he wore Nike. "Thought I'd switch it up."
Ball added: "Like I said, you can wear whatever you want when you play with Big Baller Brand ... and it is just nice to get out there and do that."
