Gervonta Davis is nursing an injury.

Gervonta Davis continues to be one of the best boxers in the entire world. Pound for pound, Davis is feared by his biggest opponents. Overall, he has an undefeated 28-0 record. Moreover, he is co-signed by some of the biggest legends in the history of boxing. One such person is none other than Floyd Mayweather, who knows a thing or two about being undefeated. Simply put, Davis is in a great position to be successful for years to come.

Moving forward, Davis is currently in talks for a fight with Ryan Garcia. This match has been in the works for quite a while. Although there is a tentative date set for April 15th, the fight papers have not been officially signed. However, Garcia is certainly eager to get in the ring with Davis, especially since they have beef. Not to mention, it would be huge for Garcia to be the first person to beat Davis. Needless to say, this is a potential fight that fans are excited about. Unfortunately, it may not happen as Davis appears to be dealing with an injury.

Gervonta Davis Speaks

According to TMZ, Davis was spotted at the Super Bowl in a wheelchair. As you can see in the clip above, he was being wheeled around the venue as the Chiefs took on the Eagles. However, when approached by cameras, Davis said that it wasn't a big deal and that he will be fine. That said, there is no telling what this could actually mean for the potential fight against Garcia. If it is an ankle injury that requires a lot of rest, then that April 15th fight date will have to be delayed.

If you are a boxing fan, this news is definitely going to be concerning. Although, young athletes tend to heal fast, so perhaps Davis can get in the shape he needs. Either way, Davis will remain one of the best boxers in the world, and we cannot wait to see how he performs in his next fight.
