After laying low for the majority of 2016, this year has been a pretty busy one for Chief Keef. The LA-based rapper dropped off the tape Two Zero One Seven to kick the year off and then followed that up with Thot Breaker back in June, but that’s still not all. At the beginning of August, Keef announced that he had an upcoming project on the way called The W, but he didn’t say when it would be dropping. But now, after weeks of being left in the dark, Sosa decided to come through on Friday night & surprise fans with the release of The W after a couple hour notice. “99:99 dropping today” he tweeted out Friday morning, and that he did.
Laced with 10 tracks in total, the follow up to Thot Breaker features guest appearances from Lil Bibby, Fredo Santana, Ball Out & more. Meanwhile, production is handled by some heavy hitters likes Zaytoven, 808 Mafia, Hollywood J, and others.
Looking to highlight one of the records, here goes arguably the biggest record off the tape in “Musty” featuring Lil Bibby & Ballout. Take a listen to the hard street cut & let us know what you think.
Aside from the new project, Chief Keef has also been lending out a couple features recently as well. Last week, he was featured on the A$AP Mob's compilation album where he was featured alongside Rocky, A$AP Nast, A$AP Ant and Playboi Carti on "Blowin Minds (Skateboard)". He was also featured on Tyga's "100" alongside AE & Fredo Santana’s “Go Live” last month.
The W available now on HNHH.
Quotable Lyrics:
I'm a call the shooters and tell them round up
They don't know a diamond until they found us
In the strip club tell em bring the ones out
Bet I had them bitches runnin’ with them buns out
