By now, most of you are aware that Texas is in a state of emergency right now as rain continues to fall at a historic pace throughout the state, causing flooding that’s never been seen before. While many celebrities & artists have already donated money to the relief fund & Red Cross, most likely thanks to Kevin Hart’s social media challenge, one artist in particular, Z-Ro, decided to voice his feelings on wax & give all the proceeds from the song to the Hurricane Harvey relief fund. On Wednesday night, the Houston veteran released the new song “Houston 2Gether.”
“All Proceeds donated to the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund. Thank you for your help in our time of need! (available on iTunes now)” he shared along with the song.
As the artwork depicts, the song is a moving & powerful new record that finds the Houston native rapping about coming together as a city & telling stories from the disaster. Everything from bottle water being outrageously priced to referencing big named people helping out, including Paul Wall & Sylvester turner (Mayor of Houston), Z-Ro touches on all aspects from this disastrous event.
