Last May, Troy Ave barely escaped with his life when a shooting occurred at a New York City nightclub where T.I. was scheduled to perform. Troy was hit and his friend and bodyguard Ronald McPhatter died at the scene. There were rumors flying around that Taxstone, a hip hop personality he'd been beefing with, was the shooter. Monday, NBC reports the NYPD arrested Darryl Campbell aka Taxstone in relations to the Irving Plaza shooting that took the life of one man and injured three others.
Troy Ave was incarcerated for firing a weapon in the Irvin Plaza shooting. Another attempt was made on his life on Christmas Day. He was shot in the arm while driving in Brooklyn. Taxstone hosts his own podcast "Tax Season," in which he has interviewed several big name rappers.
