It’s been a minute since we last heard from Phoenix rapper Vee The Rula. In fact, it was back in March when the Alumni Gang rapper last impacted our site with the video for “Smoke,” but thankfully that changes here today. A couple days ago, Vee returned from hiatus with a new single called “Nobody,” which we’re highlighting for y’all this evening.
Leaving the swag rap to the side, Vee hops on this Tony Croc produced beat & shows off his insane wordplay & double time rhyme scheme, proving once again that bars are still very much alive in this era of mumble & swag rappers. It’s unclear at the moment on where this record will end up, but hopefully there’s more to follow, or better yet a project for that matter considering we’re over due. The last project Vee blessed us with back in December with his Level Up mixtape, featuring contributions from Jahlil Beats, Cardiak, Young Fly, Vohn Beats, Kyle Justice, & more.
Take a listen to the latest from the Alumni Gang rapper & share your thoughts on it (below). If you’re a fan, be sure to show your support now on iTunes. Look for more to be on the way.
Quotable Lyrics:
Yo, coming from one of the underdogs
Do a roundhouse summer salt , take on a hundred of y’all
Boy flow like waterfall come get you a bucket dog
I can get you for nothing, or you think you hustle hard?
You don't even hustle, how do you win when you’re at a lost
