Earlier tonight, the Kevin Abstract-led collective BROCKHAMPTON released a new song & accompanying video called “Sweet,” which served as the fourth offering from their forthcoming Saturation 2 project following “Gummy,” “Swamp,” & last week’s “Junky.” But minutes following its release, Kevin Abstract tweeted out that he had a surprise for fans tonight as well, “yall know I like surprises.” Then about half hour later, Kev confirmed that he was dropping a second video tonight for a new song called “Follow,” which will NOT see life on Saturation 2. In fact, it serves as the first single off their upcoming SATURATION 3 project instead!
That’s right, Kevin Abstract announced Tuesday night that the Saturation series is a Trilogy, and the third installment is on its way. “Saturation is a trilogy,” he tweeted. “Tonight, we are releasing the first single from our third album.”
As for when we can expect to hear Saturation 3 is anyone’s guess, but based on the time frame between the first two installments, it could be a couple more months before we get the third volume. Hopefully they continue their weekly release strategy though to hold us over in the meantime.
Following up Tuesday night’s “Sweet” release, check out the new single “Follow,” where Ameer comes out of the closet as gay & let us know what you think. “yep, Amber is gay” Kevin confirmed following its release.
If you wish to catch Brockhampton live in person, you're in luck, the crew is currently in the midst of their on-going Jennifer’s Tour. Peep tour dates here if interested. We’ll continue to keep you posted on details moving forward.
Quotable Lyrics:
Nineteen, I got my first boyfriend
Nineteen, I almost signed to Def Jam
I remember being younger watching Space Jam
Told my mama that I wanna be the bald man
Got older, goals changed, needed gods plan
Got older, got a chain, nigga goddamn
Shit is gold and it hurt me when I walk man
And I ain't got it, but I just got my advance
