The Kevin Abstract-led collective BROCKHAMPTON have found some success this Summer thanks to their debut effort Saturation, but before they even dropped off that album back in June, Kevin tweeted out that they were already working on its sequel. “We will also release our 2nd album this summer,” Kev tweeted out back on June 3rd.
Well that time is almost upon us. Set to drop this Friday, August 25th, Saturation 2 will contain 16 tracks in total & feature the previously heard singles “Swamp,” “Gummy,” & Junky” to name a few, but before it arrives, the group have one last record to share with us ahead of time called “Sweet,” which like the previous releases comes in visual form & late on a Tuesday night.
Slowing things down here both sonically & visually, the one-shot video finds members like Matt Champion, Dom McLennon, Merlyn Wood, Ameer Vann and JOBA all spitting their respective verses over production from Kiko Merley and Romil Hemnani. Filmed in Van Nuys, Los Angeles, California, the video was shot by Ashlan Grey and directed by Kevin Abstract once again.
Following up last week’s “Junky,” check out the “Sweet” new release & let us know what you think. If you wish to catch Brockhampton live in person, you're in luck, the crew is currently in the midst of their on-going "Jennifer’s Tour." Peep tour dates right here if interested.
And if all this wasn't enough, the Kevin Abstract-led group also says they have another video dropping later tonight that's not on the album, so stay tuned more is on the way!
Quotable Lyrics:
Twistin' me up like licorice
Think I need someone who can handle it
Ice and my boys and my wrist this flex
I don't need nobody tryna give me shit
Twistin' me up like licorice
Think I need someone who can handle it
Ice and my boys and my wrist this flex
I don't need nobody tryna give me shit
