There's Something Special

Pharrell drops another "Despicable Me" track.

Pharrell clearly loves him some Minions, as the producer tends to bring out a slew of new music whenever a new Despicable Me flick drops. The third installment of the trilogy has already given us the "Yellow Light" single, and now comes another joint from Skateboard P. As this franchise is decidedly family friendly, the Neptunes-era Pharrell is nowhere to be found.

Instead, we get something from "Happy" mode Pharrell, finding the producer crooning over a synthy, Gospel-inspired arrangement. After Vic Mensa's banger "OMG," it's not exactly the Pharrell sound we may be fiending for, but at least the producer is getting that Universal Pictures paycheck.
