After suffering a delay, Post Malone's debut album Stoney finally arrived on Friday. The deluxe edition sports a whopping 18 tracks, including early singles like "White Iverson" and "Too Young." However, it's the new material that's the strongest, with Post further integrating his country influences, as well as strengthening his R&B chops. Following the opening reverb-laden track that almost sounds like an outtake from My Morning Jackets's "Evil Urges," Malone introduces a hypnotic R&B record produced by DJ Mustard (and frequent collaborators Twice As Nice), which is reminiscent of the producer's work on Rihanna's "Needed Me," slower and hazier than his usual West Coast bounce.
You can listen to the full project here. What's you favorite track on the album so far?
Quotable Lyrics:
Rosé poppin' with the Balmain on me and I keep on callin'
And they know that I don't answer my cell
No, I don't know your mama, I got so much commas
Girl, you know I'm only into myself
Big Lie
