There has been serious buzz around the mysterious Atlanta artist known as 24hrs, who had a highly prolific month of September. He guested on "My Song," off Ty Dolla $ign's Campaign project. "20 my new favorite artist," sang Dolla on the immaculate collaboration. Soon after, 24hrs, his identity still unknown, dropped the Gucci Mane-featuring "Not Impressed" and then a new track and video, "Back for Me," with which he revealed himself to be the alter-ego of Royce Rizzy. Well, none of this has been confirmed by Rizzy, but it certainly looked like the Private Club founder in the few shots we got of him in the video. And 24 sounds like Royce, too, albeit with a constant pitched-up effect on his vocals.
In any case, 24hrs still seems to be maintaining an enigmatic profile, and his brand is thriving because of it. A couple of weeks after the "Back for Me" video, 24 is back with a new song, "RUNNIN 3X." Like "Back for Me," the new track is produced by Apex Martin, who also showed up on the 12:AM EP 24 dropped at the beginning of last month.
It's more of the same youthful sung melodies from 24 over the upbeat, breezy trap production of Apex Martin. These two are runnin' up quite the following.
Quotable Lyrics
Apex got next, other n*ggas gotta wait
First class to Japan, 100 bands on the way
I was born with no money, I was born with no money
Mama raised no dummy, mama raised no dummy
