After a dominant 2015, The Weeknd went back to being his reclusive self for much of this year -- until last week, when he announced a new album, STARBOY, shared its titular single, and then a release date of November 25th. Yesterday, he shared the music video for his new Daft Punk-featuring single, and it showed him killing off his former self in favor of his new "Starboy" persona, who is ridden of the strange creature that had been growing on his head for about as long as he'd been in the spotlight. With a crisp new hairdo, The Weeknd is now ready to share the second single off STARBOY, entitled "False Alarm." He shared the single artwork last night and let fans know that the song -- which appears as track No. 3 on the 18-track album -- will be dropping today (Sept. 29).
Upon hearing "Starboy," it was obvious that the song will soon see similar success to last year's hits "The Hills" and "I Can't Feel My Face." Keep it locked on the site today for "False Alarm." The second STARBOY single should be telling regarding the sonic direction that The Weeknd looks to take his forthcoming third album.
