This Friday, The Weeknd will release his third album, Starboy, which looks like it will create a major splash throughout the music world. The album's lead and titular single is currently the No. 3 song in the country, and it's likely that at least one of the two singles he released on Thursday (Nov. 17), "Party Monster" and "I Feel It Coming," will make an impressive chart debut next week. Today, The Weeknd revealed his plans to release a film, entitled "MANIA," in conjunction with Starboy. He shared an 18-second clip of "MANIA" to his social media accounts.
The film, shot in a contemporary neo-noir style, seems like a suspenseful affair. The Weeknd will play the leading role, and the panther from the "Starboy" video also looks to be a prominent cast member. "MANIA" is directed by Grant Singer, who was also behind the "Starboy" video as well as the visuals to "The Hills," "I Can't Feel My Face," "Tell Your Friends," and more.
Both "Starboy" and "I Feel It Coming" feature Daft Punk. Other guests on the album include Kendrick Lamar, Future, and Lana Del Rey.
