Metta World Peace has already proved himself on the basketball court, but he's still working on getting his name up in rap. His new track finds him in familiar territory to athletes everywhere, putting on for a place he doesn't actually hail from.
"Florida" begins with Peace chanting the letters of the state like a mantra, before bragging of his lifestyle when he visits the vacation destination. He also makes sure to shout out his birthplace of Queens New York, so no one mistakes his roots, but this one is definitely about hitting the beach for the summer.
Quotable Lyrics:
Ball like 11-year-olds, they call us childish
Everything I see, I Want, I get mileage
The G5 that's first class, we wildin'
Champagne spillin', stewardess sippin'
Florida
