Lil Boosie was the first to popularize the term "ratchet" way back in 2004 with his single, "Do The Ratchet". Since his incarceration, the term has taken on a life of its own, even being applied as a genre, describing DJ Mustard's brand of west coast party music.
Now back in the game, Boosie has embraced the repurposing of his word, deciding to hop on Hurricane Chris "Ratchet", which actually happens to be produced by Mustard himself.
A lot has changed in the 10 years since Boosie's single, but the influence of his southern party-oriented output is stronger than ever, and it's nice to see him reunited with a style he helped come to fruition.
Quotable Lyrics:
Booty shots lookin' good, Maliah-thick
Pretty face, god damn she need her teeth fixed
And her cousin real bad, she petite-thick
But her breath smell like she been eating shit
I need to look in the mirror, I'm sorry
5 different baby mamas, should be on Maury
My cousin ratchet, he be sexin' my cousin
My boy on Instagram flexin', that ain't even his money
