GoldLink dances the night away in "Meditation" video.

GoldLink is known for his upbeat, fast flow music. He has the ability to mix hip hop, R&B and electronic without making it sound forceful. His music provides a good blend of rap music with melodies and typically, a solid vibe that you could bring with you from the office to the car to the house to the club and back. There's a unique characteristic about his music that still puts him with hip hop but keeps him deep into his own lane that can place his music on a variety of playlists; not just hip hop. With the release of his album At What Cost in March and dropping Crews Remix EP this past week, he comes back with the video for "Meditation."

With the assistance of Montreal-producer Kaytranada and Jazmine Sullivan on the hook, GoldLink brings this bouncy song to life. The video takes place with GoldLink and his homies getting to the club where they link up with some women at the club and begin dancing. While the majority of the song follows GoldLink and the leading lady to the video, GoldLink finds himself with tension in the club with another guy before an altercation breaks out. With the song being more on an uptempo, the video ultimately takes a dark turn towards the end.

The video, much like the song, is very vibrant. With Kaytranada on the beat, the song itself is very colorful in it's tone and the way the director plays with the colors and lighting in the video, it does a great job at representing the song as a visual. Both GoldLink and Kaytranada have continuously proven to be great collaborators in the past. Kaytranada does an job in producing for GoldLink. The chemistry that the two have really bring out distinct sounds in both of their styles.
