21 Savage has been rapping for little more than two years. Now, after Savage Mode and recent collabs with Drake, Meek Mill, and Travis Scott, he has the authority of being a powerful cosign in the South. 21 has just blessed 17-year-old Baton Rouge rapper NBA YoungBoy by jumping on the remix to his summer track "Murder." There's no one better to remix a song about the act of killing than the Slaughter Gang leader.
The new "Murder" remix appears on YoungBoy's new mixtape, Mind of a Menace 3, and it has also received the music video treatment. Predictably, the video finds 21 and YoungBoy toting Draco's and other firearms. It's scary stuff, especially considering YoungBoy's age, though his uncut depiction of his violent reality is what has made him one of the hottest acts in Louisiana. His work ethic has also been instrumental to his rapid rise. Mind of a Menace 3 arrived just over a week after YoungBoy's last tape, .38 Baby, which featured two of his hometown's most trusted guardians in Boosie Badazz and Kevin Gates.
