Kid Cudi's upcoming Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin' is shaping up to be a return to form of sorts. After the experimental, rock-influenced sounds of Speeding Bullet 2 Heaven, Cudi's new music has leaned a lot more heavily towards the melodic rap he made his name off of. At this weekend's Trillectro Music Festival, Cudi shared another new record, which was produced by Pharrell according to the festival's founder. It's a bouncy feel-good number, driven by horns and an infectious hook. The last we heard, Cudi actually had two albums planned for 2016, so the first can't be too far away, especially since he said it was more or less complete back in June.
