Though he hasn't yet released a single or a project, Rich Homie Quan has stayed afloat this year thanks to several leaks and a few worthy collaborations, most recently alongside Future on the Project E.T. track "Champagne Shower." Last week, a new Yung Lan-produced Quan track, "Smile," appeared on the producer's new mixtape, The Arrival. It had been a while since Quan himself spearheaded the release of new material, but today, he has provided the video to "Uh Minute," a track off his latest mixtape, ABTA (Album Before the Album), released last November.
Hopefully returning to ABTA implies that Quan still has an album prepped for release some time in the near future. Regardless, the video reveals "Uh Minute" to be a powerful track, and one that should've gotten more attention when it first dropped. The video finds Quan looking back on memories both joyous and painful and returning to his childhood bedroom, where he first learned to make music. "It's been uh little minute since I flexed up on you n*ggas," he raps. Yes it has, and after watching the new video, it's clear he's still got plenty of flexing left to do.
