Many of us are still upset about the sudden breakup between Young Thug and Rich Homie Quan, who, as Rich Gang, released one of 2014's best tapes, Tha Tour: Part 1. Since going solo, both rappers have maintained their own small circles, but one producer who has continued to work closely with both artists is Goose. He's landed beats on both Slime Seasons and on Quan's Royal Rich mixtape as well as his brand new mixtape, ABTA, producing the standout cut "Why."
Goose also produced Quan's "Carlito," one of the rapper's hottest tracks in months. "Carlito" featured one of Goose's more aggressive beats, but on "Why," the producer is back to the poppy EDM-inspired sound that he's known for. The driving vocal sample perfectly matches the cathartic bursts of rapping and singing from Quan, as he looks in the mirror and asks "why" he cheated on a woman whom he loves.
Album Before the Album should suggest that Quan's got another project coming soon. We hope Goose will be back for that one.
