Statik Selektah has put together a visual treatment for "Harley's Blues" off his Lucky 7 album. The song, which is named after his newborn daughter Harley Emma Baril, aims to bring attention to a life-threatening disease that can effect women during pregnancy.
HG (hyperemesis gravidarum) only effects 2% of women in pregnancy, and is often misdiagnosed, hence Statik's desire to bring it to the attention of the public. Statik and his wife were able to treat the disease early on in the pregnancy, and have a healthy beautiful baby girl.
To create the instrumental, Statik actually incorporated Harley's heartbeat from inside the womb. Listen/watch above.
